What Goes into a Brochure?

In your brochure Include:
  • Title
  • Meeting Dates
  • Location
  • Times
  • Cost if any
  • Benefits
  • Requirements
  • Eligibility
  • Who the Directors are
  • FAQ - (Frequently asked questions)
  • Testimonials (if you have them)
  • Retreat Process (brief explanation)

A brochure can expand the outreach of your program. Make yours eye-catching and informative.

BROCHURE CONTENTS
Your brochure presents possible retreatants with a first impression and  introduction to the Exercises. These are your customers, so make your brochure as informative and impressive as possible.

Benefits
Be sure to include the benefits of your program as well as the features. In other words, tell them what's in it for them.  Include:

  • Greater connection to God
  • Improved prayer life
  • Relationship with director
  • Small group interaction
  • Increased ability to discern God's will for their lives.
  • Accountability

Directors:
Many people wonder about the directors, their training, and their professional supervision, especially when the directors are lay people. You can address that concern in the brochure with a brief summary of director preparation, training and supervision.

Marketing
Maybe it seems crass to discuss marketing, but in reality, your brochure is the first step in a three-part marketing process that includes bulletin notices, brochure, and application.

You want it to help those whom God calls to request an application. Help ensure that applicants are favorably impressed by your program through your brochure. Make it as professional as possible.
